How to Make Puff Puff (kpof kpof) – Nigerian Food Recipes

How to Make Puff Puff (kpof kpof)
Puff puff is a popular Nigerian snack that’s enjoyed by so many. It’s very easy to make but crucial to follow important steps in order to achieve this delicious Nigerian food recipe.

·         200g of self raising flour (this will serve up to 3 people)
·         50g of Sugar
·         1 sachet of Yeast
·         Warm water

Cooking Instructions
  •          Add the self raising flour, sugar, yeast and warm water into an empty bowl
  •          Mix with an electric whisk (it saves time and does the job quickly)
  •          Once the content is properly mixed with no lumps, cover the mixture with foil paper (air tight) and leave it for 45 mins to 1 hour (this allows the mixture to rise)
  •          After 1 hour, the mixture would have risen up enough with air bubbles which indicates you can start to fry.
  •          Switch on your deep fryer and make sure there is enough vegetable oil.
  •          Using a scoop, (check the video) drop small portions of the mixture in the hot vegetable oil.
  •          You can turn each puff puff around with a fork while frying to make sure it’s properly fried.
  •          Put some kitchen tissue on a flat plate to help drain vegetable oil from the puff puff.
  •          Allow the puff puff to cool down for few minutes and it’s ready for consumption!
